Donate to Vocational Education Vocational training is proving to be a successful strategy for lifting young adults in Rwanda out of poverty. Lack of education and employment is a serious problem for the teens and young adults that are part of the WE-ACTx program. It addition to all of the problems associated with poverty, it also hinders their medical regimen compliance and is the cause of preventable deaths. In order to afford these young adults the opportunity to create a brighter future for themselves and their families, and in loving memory of Sylvia E. Feder, Manos de Madres established the Sylvia E. Feder Fund for Vocational Training. As a result of the generosity of donors, 12 students were enrolled in the tailoring program of the prestigious New Hope Academy in January of 2011. We look forward to their graduation in early 2012 after a 3-month internship at INEZA. Manos de Madres will work with WE-ACTx to help insure that all graduates obtain employment as we plan for enrollment of another class of vocational students in January 2013. We thank you for your generous support!

Donate to INEZA, Rwanda Donations to the INEZA Cooperative in Rwanda help to support empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices. These amazing women are taking charge of their lives, becoming leaders in the fight against AIDS and working towards a better future for themselves, their families and their communities. In addition to product development, marketing and sales, Manos de Madres' support is currently focused on funding English and computer training so that INEZA can master the technology and skills necessary to enter the global marketplace and to manage their business independent of WE-ACTx support. We thank you for your donation - Murakoze!
Donate to Manos de Madres Your donation to the Manos de Madres’ "General Fund" enables us to continue to support existing initiatives and to expand the scope of our outreach efforts to foster entrepreneurship and sustainable businesses for women, many of whom are living with HIV/AIDs. In 2011, donations have funded our newest program and our first domestic effort. “Ladies United” is a women’s empowerment project and works with consumers of the Memphis-based nonprofit organization, “Friends for Life”. We thank you for your support!
Donate to Trash Bags of Honduras Donations to the Trash Bags of Honduras Initiative help to support empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices for craftswomen in the mountains of Comayagua, Honduras. This initiative is founded on the principle of repurposing trash into products as an alternative to burning plastic and paper trash, which contributes to air pollution, respiratory problems and even cancer in community residents. By making a donation to the Trash Bags of Honduras Initiative, you are contributing to women's independence and entrepreneurship and supporting environmental health, education and consciousness. ¡Gracias!
